Look-alikes

It highly amused me that She-Boss and I were apparently dressing in the same closet spectrum today. We were both wearing deep red on top, and black on the bottom. To compare and contrast, she had on a satin-finished, short sleeved top, while mine was cotton-spandex (one of GK's latest offerings), also short-sleeved. Her black pants were capri-length, mine were leggings. We accessorized differently: I had on red shoes, hers were black. Her jewelry was smooth black stones and silvertone necklace and hoops, while I had on one of my own creations, a double strand of chunky rough-cut lava beads with two rough quartz crystals and two polished irregular quartz crystals.

We had a chance to talk for a few minutes when she played my weekly call for me. Told her I wore the white shoes she gave me to church last week. She says she's thinning out her shoes, and she has MORE for me. *rubs hands together gleefully* This is tres cool---since GK moved out of state, I haven't had a good source for gently pre-worn shoes, and I've missed that! What I've been wearing since is either a) Payless, b) Wal*mart, or c) thrift store. The ones I've gotten so far have been a cut above---I'm going to cross my fingers and hope I score some cute ones---!

Tomorrow, I'm scheduled to meet Kat for lunch before work---the Chinese buffet at Byrd Plaza has decent food, reasonable prices, and it's right there at US1, so zooming from there to work will be a snap.

I still need to read Northanger Abbey for the debut meeting of the Jane Austen bookclub...have made it through the first chapter and am disinclined to go farther. Meh, where are Cliff Notes when you need them?
