Kat and I did some running around this morning---Home Depot, where I got some hardware to hang a mirror I've been wanting to put up---I'm tired of not having a full-length mirror! Wandered briefly through Hancock Fabric, where it's a good thing I know how to exercise restraint. (I found the perfect material for my wedding ensemble---never mind that I haven't anyone to marry!---and I was struck by the wild urge to buy the remainder of the bolt, at $10 a yard. Didn't. Go me. *whimper*)

Then we had lunch across the street at Sonny's BBQ. It's next to a used car lot, and we moseyed over there so I could take a look at a Honda they had, but it was in even crappier shape than the one I have, so no dice. Lunch was tasty, though.

On the way home, we rescued a mirror from the curb---it's dresser-sized, not full-length, but it's intact, and is mounted in a handsome wooden frame.

I'm delighted with my Torrid order, which just arrived: the little black cardigan with cherries is darling. The sleeves are almost elbow length, so they cover the worst of the wobbly bits, and it's a lovely soft jersey material that'll be perfect in the a/c at work (without being *too* heavy) and I can hardly wait to pair it with my red and black plaid skirt!

The belt, which I was a wee bit concerned about, is *not* cutting me in half at the waist; it actually falls a bit below my natural waist when I'm standing up, and it's comfortable to sit down in as well. A triumph!

Last night, I ran across this site, http://www.whirlingturban.com/catalogpage.htm which had me drooling madly. Add some of the adornments from here, http://www.thedivapinup.com/home.html, and it offers some really interesting answers to the "Who do you want to be today?" question.

I'm also at work on Seen and Unseen. I need more days off...I wish I could get onto a schedule of four 10-hour days. Less commuting, more time to write!
