All lovers of Superheroes and Fine Art should check
this out. I'm fond of FlashDaz's Wonder Woman and the Picasso version, although I do really need to point out the Bat!Mona Lisa (Why is she smiling? Because she's the goddamn BatMona!)
I forgot to mention something of the intense happy-making that arrived recently. I've always had a massive thing for Waterhouse's
Circe Invidiosa. For my birthday, I persuaded my father not to do the usual thing where I buy clothes and he eventually pays me back*. Instead I would buy something to decorate my room. I found a gorgeous Circe print, had it professionally framed, and now it's in my room. It's huge and it's gorgeous and I love it to pieces. (And somehow it manages not to feel out of place with my orange walls, band posters, Kandisky abstract and the generally ultra-contemporary feel to my room.)
*This is how my birthday has been treated for many years now by all my family. Not always clothes if I have a better idea, although books, CDs, DVDs etc are forbidden from any want list on the grounds that "I can buy them myself". I'm not sure quite how that works. It was a great surprise to me to realise that other people do not buy their own presents from their relatives, let alone do not have to give the exact specifications of what they want. This might explain my obsession with my present-mojo, where I spend ages searching for the perfect present while trying to keep as much of a surprise to the recipient as possible.
