Vermillion Lies is an American cabaret-band that consists of two freaky sisters - Zoe and Kim Boekbinder. Their style is femme fatale, with old fashioned clothes and make-ups, stockings ofdifferent colors with garters and fiery red hair. Their music is much like their aesthetic attitude, a mixture of new and old, something from folk, rock, blues, country, jazz and swing.Go see Vermillion Lies. That´s why Zoe and Kim call themselves 'junk store cabaret' and 'music for

years old ladies, who play radio hits from their youth. These ladies are old enough to perform their
fetisch on the stage, and specialized in high notes, both on the musical saw and voice. Bärenzunge is
sure to create a demential atmosphere.

Sasha Pushkin & Pushkin Funplugged (St. Petersburg/Berlin)
The pianist, Sasha Pushkin, in his performance, equalled that of the great improvisers; at times, his playing even made one think of Keith Jarrett. He demonstrated mastery of his field, with playfulness and perfection. Within the very first moments, he had captivated his audience, evidenced by the eruption of applause. | Freie Presse Sasha Pushkin was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. He began studying classical piano at the age of seven, at his eight years he had performed his first concert of original compositions. By the age of 22, he had played for audiences of ten thousand people in St. Petersburg and Kiev. Since the early nineties, Mr. Pushkin has been a regular on the European circuit. He is living in Berlin, Germany. Pushkin is known as an extremely flexible and open-minded musician. He has an interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approach that involves regular collaborations in the fields of modern dance, multimedia and literature. He is also active as a band leader and composer for films. He is the creator of his own musical doctrine, called 'Exprovisation'.

➢ Make a drum set out of Djembe, Darabuka and Talking Drums. Take a very, very small
guitar, Tzura, Balalaika, African and oriental drums. Just for fun!
➢ Play Greek Tzura Russian melodies. Play one Russian Balalaika in American 30’s swing style.
And just sing whatever you feel. Take Russian, English, German or any African language you
speak. Take European 3/4 and African 6/8. Take Russian 2/4 and German 4/4. Just for fun!
➢ Do you smoke Papirosa? Do you drink Vodka? It helps your voice expression. Have you been
to Abijan or Odessa? It helps your body to groove. Have you been to Machorka -
Tabakistan? It helps your eyes to smile. Be sad at 140 BPM and funny at 60 BPM. So, now
just throw all that stuff together in one big pot, et voilá. And keep it simple. Very, very
simple. Just for fun!
➢ Now take your body in your hands, make the beat move your feet, shake the brain out of
your ears and make your hands clap. Just for fun!
➢ Is it Folk Rock? Is it World fusion? Is it Blatniak? (At least 100,000 Russians know what
