Summary: Life is really unfair for gay idols

It was hard for Taemin to act like normal after that. He still joked and laughed like always in TV shows he visited, which made him wonder when he became such a good actor. Then Jonghyun came a little too close and he immediately tensed up. The fake smiles started to look like fake smiles and his movements became robotic, to the point where the others asked him if he was sick. Except for Jonghyun who didn't say much at all these days.

Taemin had feared the moment him and Jonghyun would be alone, because that was the moment they had to talk. And Taemin had no idea what he was supposed to say.
He knew that he wanted Jonghyun. Still, maybe Key was right and he couldn't handle such a difficult relationship.
Taemin knew that was just an excuse, though. He was scared. But what he was scared of he hadn't figured out yet.

When the day came, Taemin woke up to find that his bandmates had already gone to their schedules. They had left Jonghyun and him, who was they only ones without schedule that day, without waking them up. They probably thought that they were doing them a favor, giving them a well earned sleep.
For Taemin it wasn't a favor, he had not planned on talking to Jonghyun that day. Thats why he had wanted to use the opportunity to ride with them a bit and then be dropped of at the dancing studio. Now he had to sneak out.
He was all the way outside their front door when he remembered that he forgot his snack. He swore under his breath as he snuck inside, closing the door carefully, before quietly making his way to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator to a sight that made his stomach rumble.
There it was. The cake he had been saving.
”Good morning”
Taemin let out a high pitched shriek, accidentally throwing the cake in the air, which made a loop before landing upright on the floor. In his haste to pick up, he stumbled on his feet and accidentally stepped on it.
”Fuck!”, he yelled in frustration as he watched the brown gooey thing stuck on his shoe.
”An idol shouldn't use such words”, Jonghyun scolded him, but with an humouros tone.
Taemin didn't seem to see the houmor though, as he turned with a ferce gaze.
”I already know that I can't be the perfect idol that your are. I don't know why I'm even trying. I should just leave. You, everyone, would be better of then”
”Do you want to leave”, Jonghyun asked, his eyes never leaving the younger's ”with me?”
Taemin could feel his legs wobble at those words, and however hard he tried, Taemin couldn't bring himself to break their eye-contact.
“What?”, he asked, not sure if he heard it right. Wasn't Jonghyun happy here? Did he want to run away?
“Are you ready to give up the entertainment buisness, ready to give up SHINee for my sake?”, Jonghyun asked, scanning the younger boy.
The first thing that popped into Taemin's mind was immediately
“No.”
No, he would never be able to give up his singing and dancing, his friends, everything that SHINee stood for. It was his life. It was more important then any love he could ever feel.
“I thought so”, Jonghyun said with a smile. “I feel the same way.”
They stood in their own thoughts a while, pondering about why such an easy thing as love could be so difficult. Taemin was the first one to break the silence.
“I still want to be with you. Even if we have to keep it a secret”.

This chapter is a bit late. I'm graduating in a month, so I don't have much time for anything except schoolwork. After that I'll try to update faster=)
I didn't really have time to edit this, so I'm sorry if there's a lot of mistakes. I'm going to edit it more later when I have time, but I thought it was mean of me to make you wait any longer=P
