Okay i just thought of this a couple hours ago but i'm not going to let it slide. Feel free to disagree with me, if you want :)
Sometimes i wonder what lee soo man is thinking when he assigns dorms to all the kpop bands. Even till this day Super Junior, over 6 years old, and they're still in the dorms. I few of them are going to be 30 soon (in a few years) and I find that a little... sad.
It builds the foundation for the bandmates relationships, but... you can't expect them to spend their entire youth, living in a dorm. I want to see them find a girlfriend, get married, have kids, and buy a house to offically start a family, not when they're 36(well a couple of them maybe 36 by the that time) and still living in one tiny apartment with 4 other almost-middle-aged guys. :\
And now, if I'm not mistaken, Leeteuk and Heechul are going to do their 2 years of war training and then Kangin will return.
I feel like Soo Man is using them up until they've used up all of their time and youth. Which I don't find is fair. I know that fans are going to do the whinning and complaining etc (i'm no exception i bet i'll just bawl out) but if they are real fans, then they will respect their choice and be happy for their idols, whether it being them finding a girllfriend, or moving out of the dorms. It is an inescapable outcome, but being happy for them should always be a priority.
All I'm saying is, yes, i do agree that them and other kpop groups, living to together is a wise decision in the beginning to really create a strong friendship/brotherhood. However, when 30 rolls around and since Korea's age is different from the traditional/western age (meaning they are a year older then they really are) I really think it's time to move on, not from the group, but move on to the inevitable stage of life where you grow up on your own.
yeah i can't shut up,
ramblings,
i need a life outside kpop,
lee soo man shiz,
idk
