mmmmm... outdated.
Ever since our cable went out and my dad has been so desperate for SOMETHING to watch on his big ol mammoth television, he's been pulling out what seems like volumes of ANCIENT Paris by Night videos from like the 80s and 90s. I have to admit, these were so AWESOMELY BAD to witness, you guys. Mostly a bunch of really bad lip syncing, choreography, and super dolled up singers and performers that look REALLY dated (thick matte makeup, super dark eyebrows, permed hair). Classic Vietnamese entertainment at its finest, folks.
What's funnier is that my mom was like "How do they look dated? I don't get it. How can you tell?" and at first I thought she was joking but my mom really doesn't have the capacity to joke about anything so I figured she really was oblivious. I guess she's reached that age where she can't tell what looks very 90s as opposed to current styles. Especially with hairstyles. Its kind of sad, really.

Me: Wow... I can't wait for them to change that lady's hair. Its so 80s.
Mom: Which one?
Me: You can't TELL?
Mom: You mean THAT lady? But her hair is so nice.
Me: ....
Mom: Is it not fashionable anymore?
Me: .........
Mom: What?
Me: The perm is so heavy, her hair doesn't even MOVE!
Mom: Well, I think she looks fine the way she does now. I can't believe they're gonna change her pretty hair.
Me: *lmao* Where have you been.....?
