one week of bio is over! yayaya. it was intense, but that's what i expected... and so far i'm holding my own, so if i just rally this next week i'll be done with the hardest part of the course and life will be good.
just got back from zbt, where i (finally) deep fried. sick? awesome? your call people, your call.
this summer has just been so chill lately. last night and tonight were minor shitshows (last night was more so... the union happened...), but even during the day i've been super relaxed. like today, i took the el alone to rgers park and went to this great african imports store... i just got jewelry but should've gotten more things. i found the most awesome hippie restaurant behind the red line, and it's basically amazing. i also just walked around alot, which was so refreshing. back in portland i used to do that, just drive to some random neighborhood and walk. maybe it's my inner anthropologist?
o, this is ridiculous: i met one of the professors at stellenbosch last night, one of the guys who will be the director of my study abroad program. I MET HIM AT THE UNION. he looked like a drunk, south african vin diesel. as if i weren't excited enought for abroad...
i've come to the realization that i tend to crush on the friends of guys who have a crush on me. does that make sense? yeah, awk. oh well.
alright, off to bed because tomorrow i'm throwing condoms to the public while riding on a float at the gay pride parade. no joke. i'm so excited... and hopefully i will make a gay friend. love you all.
