i had class OUTSIDE today. for serious. it was the happiest i've ever been with my northwestern education- we couldn't even get mlle. watson to do that in high school. i guess that's what happens when a) your anthro professor is the embodiment of santa claus, and b) it's the first nice day after an april snowstorm and weeks of 35-degree weather. a-maz-ing.
i also did one of those kellogg studies today, where you fill out surveys and stuff for $10. i'm definitely going to milk that more... i mean, i earned back all of last night's hundo money. i was a little nervous walking into leverone for fear of running into the kellogg 2nd-years from last week's party/shitshow, but luckily none of them were in sight.
so much weird shit has happened this quarter: flip cup with the business school, tequila roadhouse showing up at AXO monday night, reserve night, samkram's extravaganza tomorrow night, last night's toastfest... really, vanessa? fun times indeed, but there's definitely the ominous "get the fuck back on the life train" feeling. midterms start next week and are virtually incessant until the end of the year. it's looming.
NYC in exactly two weeks. YESSSS
i decided to do globemed exec instead of DM exec. i think DM exec + MCAT + social chair + figuring out thesis stuff would be a bit much next year, so it wouldn't be fair to DM to overcommit myself. globemed is smaller, could help with networking, and deals with stuff i'm really passionate about. so that is the new plan- i'll (hopefully) do DM exec senior year.
our room is suddenly SO HOT. seriously, radiator? you think it's funny to turn our room into an icebox during the snow and an oven on the sunny day? because right now i'm glowing more than i do after a round at the union, and i don't think it's too funny.
