Slope Day was so amazing! I had to take an Asian religions quiz at 10:10, but I still made it down to Sigma Phi by the time our breakfast started at 10:30. Starting Slope Day off right def requires chocolate chip muffins and large amounts of champagne, and of course gin and juice in honor of Snoop Dogg! Becky and I were undefeated at beirut again. We're just untouchable!
We funnelled a little, because Becky is obsessed with funneling. It's also the only possible way I can really drink beer because it's just so awful. Sigma Phi had gotten a moon bounce, which was probably a little dangerous with a bunch of trashed people bouncing around in it, but it was so much fun. Although Devin, Scott, and Brittni all ended up landing on top of my head at different points, so I was in a little bit of pain.
Eventually we made it up to the slope so we could see The Game. I have no idea who that is, but apparently some rapper. But then for some reason I decided that I needed to leave the slope and walk all the way back to Alpha Phi to go to the bathroom. But on my way up the slope I just happened to run into Dusty, who was on his way to Gannett to see if Joe was ok, because he'd been taken there because apparently he was looking a little sick on the slope and had had a little too much to drink.
So I went with Dusty to Gannett, and luckily Joe was fine, able to talk coherently and everything, but Gannett decided to give him an IV to rehydrate him anyway, so he had to stay there for awhile. So Dusty and I went to College Town Pizza and ate massive quantities of mushroom pizza before going back to the slope for Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg was alright, though I really only knew "Gin & Juice" and "Drop It Like It's Hot." But those were amazing, and I also totally appreciated the Game's shoutout to John Paul II! That was just amazing and hilarious!
I went home after Snoop was over and took a nap for a couple hours. When I got up I went to a bonfire at Pi Kapp for awhile, and then over to Scott's apartment to play beirut. That's what I call endurance, I was going the entire day, and still winning at beirut! The beirut tourney was also lots of fun with roomie bonding with me and my roomies for next year- Becky, Brittni, and Diane. Diane and I were Team Platinum for the night, and she is so much fun! Next year is going to be so amazing!
The night after Slope Day I went to the Gatsby formal at Sigma Phi, which was all classy and supercute. I just like to get dressed up for anything, and boys in tuxes make it even better! I came home early though because I actually plan on being productive during study week... or at least trying to. I was totally on that today, I definitely went to the lib twice... though I didn't exactly get anything done. But I'm so trying! It's not my fault I'm so ADD.
But I'm getting really excited about going home for the summer, but also I think I'm even sadder to leave than I was last year! It's super sad that I'm not going to be living in the house next year, although I really am excited about having an apartment. But I'm going to miss all my Aphis so much over the summer! I still don't even know what I'm going to be doing with myself for the summer, other than going to the Dominican Republic with Cherry! I need to get a job, but I don't know where I could actually find one. All I know is that I am so not lifeguarding. I've already spent 4 summers doing that, and I'm just over it. And I'm especially over the Speedo tanlines! No thank you!
Cristie Kerr won the Michelob Ultra Open! I was kinda hoping Annika Sorenstam would win, especially because my little brother was her standard bearer and he wanted to be on ESPN. But apparently he was on ESPN for a little while, though I'm sad that I missed it, and on the front page of our paper. Aww my little Nick is growing up! It's so weird to go home now and I remember him as this little kid, and now he's way taller than me!
I can't believe this year is almost over! I'm really happy and sad at the same time. Plus a little scared that half of college is already over! It's weird to think how fast it's gone by! But I fully intend to enjoy this summer, even though I'm going to miss Cornell and all my Aphis a lot. At least Dusty is going to be doing a polo camp thing at UVA for part of the summer, so he's going to be in Charlottesville so I'll be able to see him a lot! That will be super fun! And the Greenbrier with my family, Myrtle Beach, all the fun summertime things and no more learning for a long time!
Now if only I can survive study week and finals...
xoxo!
