Sakura-Con 2005
WOW. Just...WOW. No other way to put it. I honestly have not had that much fun in a LONG time.
Will post in sections, as it's too tiring to post them all at once.
Day 1: And the fun begins...
Well, where to start. We woke up, got ready and such. Fiona was Anna from Shaman King, and I was Lenne from FFX-2. We went up to Pre-reg around 9-ish.
So we get in line, and a guy dressed up as Havoc from FMA comes behind us. We ask for his picture, it's all good. Then an asian guy comes up. We start talking and stuff, and we find both the guys really really nice. Well, we end up seeing Havoc over the weekend almost everywhere we go o.o; We saw him in lines, in the dealers room, at the Marriott (we were both staying in the same hotel). It was so weird,
We then went to opening ceremonies. While Karen (Fi's mom) held our spot in line, we went around getting pictures. TONS of people wanted Fi's picture, and a few got mine. It was really funny, cause while Fi was getting her pic taken, one of the guys says "Hey! You're Songstress Yuna!" I got my picture after that, and the guy, who was really hot, remarked "I knew I should've dressed up as one of the background dancers!" He started dancing and such. It was really funny. At opening ceremonies, I met this really nice girl dressed as Sango from Alaska. Then they had the Anime Improv 404 group there, and they did some really funny improvisational stuff.
After that, we hung out, got pictures, stopped by the dealers room. We then went to the AMV contest. I was sooo nervous, cause I was the youngest person there. I mean THE youngest. Everyone was at least 18 (and I didn't get to meet any of them cause I was too damn shy *pout* And mom wouldn't go up with me. *wishes dad was there for that one*)
The videos were either WOW or BLAH. I'll make a separate entry on my opinions on the videos. I actually got a pretty good cheer for mine, though nearly not as much as Lord of the Transformers (VERY stupid vid of Transformers to LotR *shudder*)
We went to one of the malls and ate at the rainforest cafe. I got a really cute white tank top with a heart with a sword through it. We went back to the hotel, and Fi decided to go swimming. I stayed inside cause a) too tired, b) period and no tampons. So she comes back and says that a 25 year old guy was hitting on her. 0.0;; He asked her to a room party with beer and stuff and seriously thought she was 18 (mind you, she's 14 and acts like it).
