Just before we arrived at the cottage last weekend, something under the car hit the ground whenever we went over a bump, and it started to tear away. It turned out to be a heat shield protecting something from paint when they spray the underbody, so it was dispensable, but at the time we didn't know what it was. That night I had a toe infection

Oof. I've had dreams like that. Well, not forgetting the name of my adopted baby when visiting my lesbian construction-aficionado friends. Forgetting things that I clearly should know as they're important to me.
