Yes I was glad to see that column in our paper today too. And glad to receive your chapbook in the mail today! Looking forward to enjoying it at a quiet time.

Oh, thank you! I haven't been able to read it over again (my book) for fear of being mortified. I hope you enjoy it.

Lynn Johnston is one of the all-time best cartoonists. I've always liked FBorFW.

I've been reading it for most of my life, and it's one of the few things I care about that has never changed. April and my Marian are about the same age.

I've always loved FBoFW too. Have been reading it for years but not as much these days due to not getting a newspaper anymore and don't think to look up comics online so...

THis strip is indeed a good one.

Thanks for sharing

I syndicated the strip's RSS feed on LiveJournal. You can subscribe and read it on your friends page if you wish!

I get a bad vibe from that guy. Maybe it's just me, but the sunglasses thing just seemed a bit too much. He strikes me as a bit of a stalker, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he turns out to be "controlling."

Yes, I know what you mean. But when they said goodbye last week, I had an intuition that something bad was going to happen (to him).

Because she said "safe drive"? Well, maybe.

On the other hand, earlier in the sequence he said he had put in for a transfer -- in the hopes that he would get a post nearer where she's teaching/living. So suppose he gets transferred to, say, Yellowknife?

One way or another, something is going to happen.
