I do love weekend outings in the city with my cubby.

Well compared to the stuff I buy from this lady in Kensington Market, Turkish delight from the Nutty Chocolatier tastes like synthetically flavoured cardboard. But this stuff is luscious. The pink ones are flavoured with rose water of course, but I hadn't figured out the flavour of the white ones. Could be pistachio. Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this.

This lady sees me coming down the street and gets a look in her eye. I'm scared what will happen if she ever catches me trying to sneak past her shop. And she has to scoop the candy herself to make sure I take lots.

There are lots of things in specific I could say about this picture.

But as I was gearing up, I kept saying 'Wow.'
I think I will leave it at that.

Wow.

I'm glad to hear it's so effective. I'm biased, of course. ;-)

Even better than King's Cafe is Bo De Duyen on Spadina, south of Dundas. If you're hooked on the fake meat, they're the place to go.

And white Turkish Delight is usually flavoured lightly with lemon. Now I need some.
