El Rock de Mi Pueblo

Yeah Colombians can fill up American Airlines Arena beeotches! I am soohyper! Well, mother told me two days ago her friend got us tickets to go see Carlos Vives and I was like "woo-hoo" b/c I tried getting tickets and only the crappy seats were left and they were expensive. This lady got us front row last time, we had better seats than Carlos Montoya (if you're into formula 1 then you should know who he is). Well, this time I didn't know if we were going to get good seats or not and I found out I was going at like 6 when I was stuck in traffic on I-95 So I didn't make it to the concert on time, well at least not when it started. Alright, so I took my grouchy cousin with me and by the time we parked and were walking, he had totally pissed me off. I went and got the tickets from Will-Call and totally felt like VIP hahahaha. People were like buying tickets and trying to find good seats and I just went and got the tickets (Thank G-D) I feel bad being all like "hahahaha, I got ticks" I'm not that type of person. Well, Jonathan and I went in, but first I had to hide my camera in my pants. It worked out but I think I scared my cousin a bit. At least I didn't pull a Melba! That was my first time in AA so I had no clue how to get around and I still wasn't sure if we were at the front. So I asked and the lady told me to go all the way down so I was like "SCORE WE HAVE FLOOR SEATS!" People were trying to get on the floor and stuff and I was like "excuse me, coming through" and thinking "because I have tickets! hehehehe" Well, when I got the floor the security guard told me to go all the way to the front an then talk to the other security guard and I was like "wow, this is AWESOME!" Well, we could've stood on the side which was good enough but we decided to go all the way and get in our actual seats. The security guard escorted us to our seats and we got to move the ppl who were in our seats. I totally felt like VIP! That was great! The seats were on the 3rd row right in front of Carlos Vives!!! woo-hoo! I am always fighting the tears when I hear his music....specially when he plays the songs that came out when I was still in Colombia....the one that always almost makes me cry is "La Tierra del Olvido" Today, I really fought back the tears, with all the flags everywhere....it was really hard. And I still feel guilty about not buying a flag from that man outside of the arena, I said I'd buy it after the concert but he wasn't there.....so "banderita. banderita" keeps on ringing guiltly in my head. I feel really bad! His band is so cool, the woman who plays all the wind instruments is just wow....She smiled at me and said "hola"!! They were playing the videos in the backround and I was like "wow, they've been together that long??" Man, it was really hard not sit there and cry! But, I went there to be happy, just can't help missing what I left behind. Carlos looked at me, that's how close I was. I am very happy that a Colombian can get AA arena packed and have such a cool stage! It's not only him who can do it, b/c I'm pretty sure the arena was packed for Juanes and Shakira as well!

here are pics!

Alright, Juanes is coming in concert again and I am sooo going! shit, I think he's coming during my sis' graduation....NOOOOOO!
