A/N: I blame filmsession for this post, because she was like:"Oh, I kind of want to get into MBLAQ, I wish there was a pimp post or something to get to know them better." and then I went:"THEY ARE SO AMAZING WATCH ART OF SEDUCTION NOW AND WHY HAVEN'T YOU CHECKED THEM OUT YET111, oh wait, OH OKAY MIGHT AS WELL DO THE PIMP POST MYSELF."
And the rest, as they say, is history.
☆ ☆ The Group ☆ ☆
You're probably asking yourself:"Who the hell is MBLAQ?" In a nutshell, MBLAQ (엠블랙) are a boyband from South Korea, created by none other than singer Rain under his label J.Tune Entertainment. It consists of five members: Seung Ho (Leader), G.O., Joon, Cheun Doong (Thunder) and Mir (the maknae).
The group's name is (admittedly) rather...interesting and is actually an acronym that stands for "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality". Yeah, I know, those Koreans and the lulzy names they come up with, huh? Anyway.
The public interest for the band was rather high but details about the members were kept under wraps. It was only about three weeks before their debut when J.Tune Ent. revealed more details about the members, and they chose a rather unconvential way of doing so. It was through a photo spread in the October issue of "NYLON Magazine." where people were able to get a first Look at all five members. However, one of the current members was not featured in that spread: Thunder. He joined the group last and took the place of Kim Sing Bae, who left the group at the very last minute due to "personal reasons." (Read: he probably left because of contract issues.)
MBLAQ debuted on October 9, 2009 at Rain's "Legend of Rainism" concert, where they performed two songs from their mini-album and a solo song. On October 14, 2009 the group released their debut mini-album, "Just BLAQ", which topped various on-line and off-line music charts in South Korea.

Yang Seung Ho (양승호)
Group Leader, Vocals
Stage Name: Seung Ho
D.O.B.: October 16, 1987
Height/Weight: 176 cm / 60 kg
Education: Se Jong University,Major: Film Arts (on temporary Leave)
His Specialties include:
playing the Piano beautifully,Gymnastics, beatboxing, doing card tricks and practicing said tricks with a giant stuffed teddybear, fixing stuff (members call him the "All-round-man" because he can fix any problem related to machines/electrical appliances), stealing the manager's car to sneak off in the middle of the night with fellow member Joon to drive to a graveyard (!) to eat a certain kind of noodle dish that is only available in a food stall at the top of the hill only to discover that the food stall is no longer there
His Specialities do not include:
hiding his dark eye circles, resisting the charm of Lee Joon, stalking actress Jeon Jihyun at her gym and seducing her in order to make her come to MBLAQ's first fanmeeting
Random things to make you love him:
- his full and luscious lips (yes, I wrote luscious!) make fangirls drool left and right and he's totally aware of it
- put him together with the right people and he turns into a dancing, singing dork
- him and joon are close friends and occasionally they come up with stupid ideas such as driving to a graveyard in the middle of the night for FOOD (as mentioned earlier under "Specialites") and then ending upbeing scared
- and of course, there's always the fact that he's really good-looking and adorable
Jung Byung Hee (정병희)
Main Vocals
Stage Name: G.O.
D.O.B.: November 6, 1987
Height/Weight: 177 cm / 64 kg
Education: International Digital University, Major: Leisure Sports (currently attending)
His Specialties include:
seducing fangirls with his smooth voice, being a GQMF, turning from soft-spoken mature member into a total dork, annoying his fellow band-members with his über-cleanliness and causing them to fall asleep while they're waiting for their turn to use the bathroom because he takes hour-long showers
His Specialities do not include:
drawing a dinosaur, resisting the charm of Lee Joon and....yeah, that's all I can come up with. To be honest, GO is usually more quiet than the other members and though a skillfull talker, he's not as outgoing so his public fail!moments are very limited so far
Random things to make you love him:
- his smooth voice. i know it mentioned it before, but, seriously, if it doesn't make you like him, then IDK.
- he causes females to scream with delight by looking hot and playing with cute kittens
- when he is with mir, he shows off his silly side. repeatedly.
- the fact that he's pretty much always a GQMF, be it during shows or photoshoots. and even when he's wearing casual clothing he's still a GQMF.
Lee Chang Sun (이창선)
Vocals, Dance
Stage Name: Lee Joon
D.O.B.: February 7, 1988
Height/Weight: 180 cm / 63 kg
Education: Kyung Hee Cyber University, Faculty of Information & Communication Technology (currently attending)
Other: played the character of young Raizo in the 2009 Hollywood Blockbuster "Ninja Assassin" alongside Rain (비)
His Specialties include:
showing off his chocolate Abs, denying accusations by his fellow members that he's dirty/smelly, challenging the title of "most 4D-Idol" currently held by SS501's Kim Hyun Joong, demanding for smoothie refills on live broadcasts and looking hilarious when trying to grab some snacks, being a pretty pretty ballerina and sometimes failing at it, stealing the manager's car to sneak off in the middle of the night with Leader to drive to a graveyard (!) to eat a certain kind of noodle dish that is only available in a food stall at the top of the hill only to discover that the food stall is no longer there, camwhoring with Mir, creating mischief with Mir, sticking black dots on his face and sti managing to look cute, yelling out random things at any given time, looking adorable at any time of the day, barking orders to his other members through a megaphone, pretending to be A TELETUBBY...sorry, my bias is showing, I'll stop here.
His Specialities do not include:
taking a shower on a regular basis, not catching the Swine Flu, seducing actor Lee Byung Hun and getting him to attend MBLAQ's fanmeeting, not getting hurt during performances, drawing self-portraits and...that's all I can come up with, haha.
Random things to make you love him:
- he has the most amazing smile in the history of smiles EVER and will never ever ever fail to make you grin like a total idiot and/or go "Awwwwwww".
- he's the most random person ever and will say things such as :"In the depths of the water there live giant squid the size of the 63 Building."
- this boy loves to work out, and it shows. he frequently shows off his amazing abs. fanservice at its best!
- he can be rather...special.
- mir is in love with him. no, really. and so is seungho.
Park Sang Hyun (박상현)
Rapper, Vocals
Stage Name: Cheon Doong / Thunder
D.O.B.: October 7, 1990
Height/Weight: 181 cm / 56 kg
Education: PCPHA
Other: he moved to Korea from the Phillipines, and his sister is Sandara Park, member of YG Entertainment's girl group 2NE1
His Specialties include: (please forgive me for the general stuff, he's my least favorite member *hides* so I only know the basics. Feel free to lmk more!)
being the cutie-pie in the group, dressing up as a girl for Seungho and ending up looking like his sister Sandara, playing with kittens, wearing cutesy pyjamas at their dorm, sleeping whenever he gets a chance to, stalking Jung Joori and making her fall in love with him
His Specialities do not include:
being funny or succeeding at gags, not sounding like a girl, not being the odd one out in everything
Random things to make you love him:
- his voice sounds adorably squeaky sometimes
- he has a close relationship with the group's maknae and with Joon
- he makes the most adorable faces
Bang Chul Yong (방철용)
Rapper
Stage Name: Mir
D.O.B.: March 10, 1991
Height/Weight: 178 cm / 60 kg
Education: Kyung Hee Cyber University, Faculty of Information & Communication Technology (currently attending)
Other: his sister is actress Go Eunah, and unlike the other members, he did not have to go through an audition process to join J.Tune as his brother-in-law is the CEO of J. Tune Entertainment
His Specialties include:
being the group's maknae, annoying the other members, showing off his neverending affection for Joon, staying true to his jokester nature, working part-time as the Look-a-like of FT Island's Lee Hongki, looking hot in glasses, doing things with his tongue, being a special snowflake
His Specialities do not include:
being able to properly pronounce the meaning of the group name or speaking English in general, taking care of his flatulence problem, seducing older women and screaming "I love you" in public places such as, but not limited to, coffee shops, cutting back on his camwhoring
Random things to make you love him:
- he's seriously hilarious. one minute, he'll be calm and collected, and then he suddenly acts like a total idiot
- mir and kids are a match made in heaven. can you feel your ovaries ache already?
- i've mentioned it before, but he's really close with joon. when the two of them are together, chances are, there will be chaos
