My other addiction: Reality TV
Like many of the other sheep lemmings viewers of reality TV shows, I am always willing to check out a new one when it premieres, especially if it catches my attention. Some, like America's got a low IQ Got Talent have no interest to me.
But, if you throw Gene Simmons of Kiss in front of a camera, that has appeal! And to make it a show along the lines of the Osbournes? That makes me salivate. Needless to say, when it premiered Monday night, I was glued to the television. I had my doubts about how good the show would be, but I was pleasantly surprised at how entertaining it was. He is funny as hell, and even though I believe a lot of the stuff was staged for the camera, it was well worth watching and I can see myself following it until it gets canceled. Being able to get a look into the daily life of someone like Gene Simmons is too good to pass up. In my opinion, this was even better than School of Rock.
Tuesday night is, of course, Big Brother (which I only watch because there really is little else on) and Rockstar:Supernova night (with elimination night being Wednesday). I am close to taking back what I said before about the Rockstar contestants being a bunch of limited-talent singers this year. This weeks performances were, for the most part, amazing. I still think Dilana and Storm are the front runners, but I may have some hormonal bias going on since they're both pretty hot. The elimination show had a slight twist as it sent two people home instead of the usual one performer. But, they both needed to go. Now, someone explain to me why the hell Zayra is still here! She is horrible. I've owned fish that were more talented vocalists.
Ok, enough of that. Bottom line: Check out Gene Simmons' Family Jewels show on A&E. It's on Monday at 10:00PM EST.
