MELT INTO ME NOW... 2 BECOME 1
So what a fun couple of weeks it has been. Between Valentine's Day, breaking up then making up with Colin and the Jewel concert things have been going pretty well.
Valentine's Day the past two times I've actually been with someone has always ended in some sort of shit fight. I don't know why, maybe I just expect a lot. This time was certainly heading that way, but thankfully, Colin shined through and actually made it decent. I got a wrist chain to match my neck chain. Pity my neck chain has been made all black my by skin that the colours don't really match... Valentine's Day was followed four days later by our break-up which thankfully resolved itself on Saturday night. I guess I'm just a ball of issues really. But hey, if people aren't doing anything to help quell these issues, then I think I have every right to have them.
Anyways... I had a fucking wicked weekend. Jo and Chris, you're my shining stars. You made it totally rock. Chris came back from his holiday on Thursday night and so of course we had to go out and celebrate on Friday night... and Saturday night... and Sunday night :-P
Friday night started off with a nice welcome back dinner at the Moon. I ordered Fettucine Carbonara minus mushrooms, which basically left me with just pasta, sauce and bacon. It was quite plain. We headed out to the Court later on then on to Connies which I was actually quite disappointed with. There weren't many people out at all. At some point during the night I had headed to Patrick's house and had almost got molested but I was strong and made it out of there. No matter how hot the boy Patrick was trying to get me to suck off is, I would never cheat on Colin. Went back to Jo's and played Scattegories and cards with her and her new interest Nova... It was great fun. Nova the bitch ALMOST beat us too, even though it was her first time. But Jo and I showed her who rules.
Went to work later that day and it was the busiest non-Christmas Saturday ever. We did really, really well. That night, I went around to Colin's before heading out again to Court/Connies and thankfully it was a much busier night... Spent Sunday recovering at Jo's before the highlight of the weekend, JEWEL! I love Jewel so much, and it's to her own credit that she did a solo acoustic set.

The highlight of her set was the first song Near You Always. It's my favourite Jewel song, and I wasn't expecting her to do it because it was an unreleased song from Pieces of You. It made me cry. Other highlights for me were the hilarious Racecar Driver and Cold Song, plus the touching versions of 2 Become 1 and Foolish Games. I was actually disappointed by You Were Meant For Me, I thought she would have done it better. Also, her yodelling encore Chime Bells which I saw her do last time in Perth was much funnier the first time and sounds better with a guitar rather than acapella. The concert was still great regardless.
Had a great night out at Connies after that and have spent a lot of the past couple of days sleeping. This post is probably unnecessarily long, but bah.
