don't tread the water
just stay still
i'll not be bothered by you
until i'm picking sides
and pulling the strings
i'm living lies
and shredding the skin
i'm wide open
and letting you in
alright. so it's time for a recap. but first, the random fact of the day: the Egyptians used to worship garlic as a god. yeah, that's right. oh the things you can learn from the food network, hehe. so now recaping...
last Saturday: went out to dinner with Bonnie and Betsy. Betsy called me and asked me if I wanted to go to the Olive Garden and I kinda laughed and told her that Bonnie and I always talk about going to the Olive Garden but we never go. so Betsy suggested that I invite Bonnie. so I did and we all went out. it was fun, except that our waiter was a peice of shit. seriously. he'd be gone for like ever and then he'd come back like fifty times in five minutes. it was annoying.
Sunday: my cousin Abby had just come back in from school - Sierra Nevada. so we went over to her house and had dinner there. it was cool to see Abby again, I haven't seen her since the beginning of July. I love it when she comes in because she always has hilarious pictures and stories to tell so it was good fun to hear them all. and I got to see their new kitty. her name is Bonita (she's from the humane society) and she is absolutely gorgeous. she's long haired and black, with white feet and a white chin and a little bit of white on her chest. and she has these amazing green eyes. it's scary how green they are. but she's funny because she knows how beautiful she is. she always makes these entrances into rooms and she perches herself places and sits there like she's posing for a picture. it's cute :)
Thursday: I got a rat! she's a little baby, white with light brown on her head and some light brown spots on her back. I named her Hazel, she's adorable. she always looks so scared, it's funny. she just stares up at you with these huge eyes. but she doesn't run and hide so that's good. as of now, she's still a little nervous but she's getting a lot better. I was originally going to get her a friend (the one I had picked out was really pretty: tiny and silvery white, I was going to name her Fiona because it means white) but we didn't have time to go back and get her on Friday.
Friday: had "girls night." this is the second one we've done, it's with Abby, my aunt, my mom and Rachel. we did one the last time that Abby was in town and we thougth we'd do one whenever Abby was back in town. so we had another one. it was just dinner at my house and we played games and junk. it was fun. it's kinda fun to be away from the boys (not that there are many, just Aaron, Jason and my uncle) and just be girls. I'm not sure when Abby will be in time next but I hope that we can do another one.
today: I got to go play with puppies today!!! 7 of them, about five weeks old. dachshunds, of course. SO CUTE! there were 5 girls and 2 boys, all reds. one of the little girls (the runt) had a kink in her tail. her tail was really long just like any dachshund but, at the very end, it kinked. if you just looked at it, the end looked like it should be the tail of a pug or a basenji but, if you felt it... it was weird, lol. but cute, puppies are cute. they're the Neibur's puppies. they breed dachshunds and I used to go to shows with them and I hung out with their daughter Katy, who was two years older than I was. Katy's married now (she got married this summer, which is scary because she's barely older than I am!!) so she wasn't there but it was good to see Dave and Lynn again. they only have two dogs aside from the puppies - Chrissy and Mac, who are the parents. they used to have India's sister, Kelsey and then Kelsey's daughter Tally, who's face was the perfect mix of India and Kelsey, which always freaked me out. I showed Kelsey for years when I first started out and she was so sweet. and then I showed Tally later on and I adored her. it was sad, though because about a year after I last showed her, I saw her again and she was a nervous wreck, like something really traumatic had happened to her. but I loved her to death. Kelsey is in Vancouver with a nice family now and Tally is in Seattle. they placed Kelsey in her home right before I got Winnie and, if I'd known that they were trying to place Kelsey, I would've gotten her. (not that I don't love my Winnie) and I definitely would've taken Tally too. I'm not even sure when they gave Tally up but I know it was within the last two or three years. sad. I miss my girls.
and then we went out to dinner after seeing the puppies. we went to Red Robin and I got a yummy salad. I always get the same thing when I go there but that's fine. it was stressful as hell though. my mom and Charlene were both bugging me and pressuring me to not go back east this summer so that I can show India at this one huge show in July. but fuck. they were both just bugging me. but I did get to see Kate (my doggy!!!!) in the car so I got to hold her all the way out to the Neiburs and all the way back. I miss my Katey. she had surgery the other day to remove a cyst behind her ear and it might be cancer. I'm so scared of my baby girl being sick! in two weeks, after her stiches are out and she's fine, she gets to come stay with me for a week or so. I love her staying with me because she's so sweet. I definitely want to take her to New York with me when I move there. I can so see it because she's really elegant looking and she'd be perfect walking in Central Park. with a diamond collar and a lovely Gucci raincoat. cute :)
anyway. blah blah blah. I've talked too much and now I'm gonna get going. gonna finish watching ER and go make myself a hot chocoalte with peppermint schapps. oh how I love that stuff. damn. I'm such an alcoholic. I love it, lol.
tata.
