This weekend begins the F1 and ALMS series. F1 is in Australia, and is currently running their 2nd friday practice (on SPEED). Tomorrow 9pm-10:30pm is qualifying, and the race is saturday 10pm-12:30am (all on SPEED, times mountain daylight savings). Honestly, this is just about the best announce team in racing, and maybe all of sports. ALMS kicks off with the 12 hours of Sebring on saturday (coverage starts at 7:30am mountain) these are the ultra-cool sportscars, some of which will run Le Mans this summer. Included are the Audi and Puegot deisel prototypes (very quiet race cars).
I know this is pretty much just my addiction, but if you want to know anything about racing (I'll even take questions about NASCAR) let me know.
Oh, and if you haven't heard, the American open wheel rift is over!!! Champ Car agreed to a deal with the IRL, and now some Champ Car teams will be trying to catch up to the IRL teams in IRL cars, while others seem to be going away.
Yeah, and if anyone has an HD setup with DirecTV, could you tune in to the F1 rade and let me know if F1 is broadcast in SD/HD/some form of widescreen?
