Well, I can't say this summer has been uneventful.

Well, I started as a law clerk at Cooney and Conway this past week. This firm is absolutely fantastic. They've won numerous multimillion dollar judgments in various tort suits. There is no question that this is one of the best firms out there. I guess if I'm going to make my first jump into the legal world and really learn what being a lawyer is all about, what they actually do, etc., it might as well be from the best. Of course the commute downtown requires me to get up early as hell, but it is definitely worth it. Naturally this is all new to me so I'm nervous as hell, but I'm sure in time that will subside.

Clearly the purchase by Vince, Jenni, and myself of an inflatable pool was the best purchase ever. Jenni and I set the thing up yesterday and it is perfect for lounging in on a hot day. I also BBQed in her backyard, and have now been nicknamed the "Grillmaster." So basically we lounged in a pool, relaxed, BBQed, shot the proverbial shit, and had a lot of fun. I'm thinking of something similar for the 4th of July wewekend. Then we went to Durbin's, which is probably the 800th different bar I've been to this summer. A drunken fight broke out during an EIGHTH GRADE GRADUATION PARTY. The cops showed up, one guy was resisting arrest, and basically I laughed my ass off at the stupidity of it all.

This summer has not been short of it's moments.
