Mia vida loca

I hope I have my Spanish right. Oh, but I know someone will correct me.

Getting near completion on the first painting...pics to come. Here is what always happens to me...GRRR! When I was in grad school my professors would come into my studio when my work was half finished and they would tell me that my work was done that, if I painted any more on the piece, it would ruin it. Of course I see a relatively finished product in my head and I am working my way to that end. Yes, each layer of the painting is sensuous and beautiful...that is one of the reasons I leave differnt layers visible through other layers. And, yes, it can be difficult to cover things, but thinking like a one is looking through a wrought iron gate at a starry sky and a cloud passes between. They are all wonderful elements, but sometimes other elements obscure parts. Like looking into water and seeing a fish and also the shadows on the water.

Well...guess what???? I may not be in grad school anymore, but things never change! Guess what the daughter child said?? "You aren't going to paint any more on that, are you? I like it the way it is". GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Do they know something I don't? Perish the thought!

Luvvies, L!
