We had our first meet tonight, a relay meet aganist WSU. Ashley was there, as a recruit for WSU and she came over to talk to me for awhile and I must say, it was sooo nice to see a familiar face from home. I really needed that tonight, and it seemed like she just knew that. Dan thought it was hilarious I was 'recruiting' one of WSU's recruits, and joked around about that's why I was named captain this year.
I talked to Bryn (I am sooooo happy she came down for this meet) and she says that even though I plan on graduating in December of next year, I can still swim so I don't know what I'm going to do. I have to double check everything, but yeah....
Caiters came up this weekend and I'm so stoked to be able to see her again, and Matt came up too. He is staying at WSU with some mutual friends and apparently was at the meet tonight. He called saying he was up in the back corner because he didn't want me to see him and get upset or freaked out or anything. It was soooo nice to be able to talk to him, and be able to talk to someone that knew I had a bad meet and when that happens, we just don't talk about it.
My shoulder is getting worse, I'm going in for an MRI within the next two weeks, I have a pinched nerve in my neck causing my left hand and fingers to go numb, I still have my shin splints, and I still have a strain in the muscles that cover the left side of my ribs from coughing so much. I'm going back into Quickcare on Sunday hopefully to get an x-ray so we'll see what happens.
So basically, I'm stoked that Caiters and Matt are in town, I'm thankful for Matt and the my girls coming to my meet, and I'm ready to head back to Seattle for a much needed break and to rest my body up.
