19th In A Row

My 19th PolyCon in a row. That's kind of amazing when I stop to think about it. Next year will mark two decades... over half my lifespan being part of something that was bigger than me. Yeah, people can claim that much time with charities and religious organizations. But this is something special to me. And when compared to other events in my life, this ranks pretty high. It's for that reason that I don't care to rank it against other people's long-term events.

This year I got to play some new games (Evil Spares None), favorites (Dixit), and ran my second RPG in a convention setting (Pulp Adventures: The Pickman Gallery). There were other events as well, but the biggest joy for me was seeing friends I haven't seen in ages. Biggest surprise was "Adam Spam" (there will be a select few who know what that means) was there on vacation from London. I didn't even recognize him without the mustache and goatee!

Bad Movie Night was a big success again this year, but I think the good (bad?) Doctor Damnearkilther might have gone a little overboard. Let's put it this way - movie #3 nearly made ME walk out, and I help run the damn event! For your entertainment, the movies were:
1. Hawk: The Slayer
2. Darkstar
3. Hillbillies in a Haunted Mansion

Seriously, the only way you'd like Hillbillies is if you were a huge Nashville fan... back in the early 70's!

Great time was had, didn't get sick, was able to call the auction (albeit with aid from a microphone), and can't wait until PC32! And my 20th anniversary.
