Me and my moodiness..

I really don't know what's happening to me these days or these past months. Especially with my mood. It seems I'm either way too cheerful or way too depressed, although it always shows as anger. Why can't I be normal for once? Is this what they call teenage angst? I thought I was over that when I finished high school, but here I am, not able to ( Read more... )

You know... perhaps you're suffering from a depletion of neurotransmitters?

Hehe. :)

We're not experts or anything, and don't pretend to be, but we have heard of people who have bipolar disorder. We've heard from a person herself, who said she feels happy one moment, depressed soon after. It's got something to do with the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain, which is why mania (or basically, good feelings, anyway) always come first, and when the neurotransmitters get depleted, the person gets depressed.

So maybe you should eat a lot of bananas, chocolate. They have the precursors of neurotransmitters. And our friend said when she feels depressed, she's learned to cope by basically comparing herself to people who are worse of than she is. She says she's discovered happiness is a relative state of sadness, hehe. Basically, she feels better knowing her life isn't the suckiest in the world, hehehe. :)

Anyway, hope you feel better soon! We kind of think everyone goes through this stage though... maybe some more noticable than others.

Or it could be something else like anemia... (speaking from experience on that one!) Had to take iron supplements to overcome it.

Oh.. LOL.. Trust the Super Twins to come up with a very scientific answer, but, yeah I guess you guys are right. I maybe suffering from bipolar disorder. This is also maybe why I'm gaining weight. I eat a lot of chocolates when I'm feeling down. Definitely not anemia though, I'm too full of energy (as my classmates said). And thanks! =)

Hehehe! Well, we'd rather be told something like "hey, your neurotransmitters are depleted" rather than "you have clinical depression" or "you have excessively high serotonin" rather than "you're insane!" hehe.

Chocolates do help! JK said so herself, hehe. And bananas too. Go bananas, hehehe.
