Although I realize the letter it was in was not addressed to me, and therefore I had no business reading it, I could not sit quietly by as you butchered one of the most meaningful and highest regarded (at least to me) lines of Twain.
The letterhead comment. While others were spoken of so warmly in your post, "Fox got me a movie, yeah Fox is a good guy." sounds a little patronizing. The tone of the statement seems to make you think the latter depends on the former. One who doesn't know who I am might think of me as nothing more than a video store employee. I didn't lose any sleep over it though. I didn't intend for it to rile you up.
The last part. I do hope you enjoyed it and that we can talk about it soon. Or at the very last that we can talk at all soon. I'll catch you when you aren't busy soon.
To sum up, I don't MIND what you put in your LiveJournal. It is yours afterall, to write whatever you want in and I enjoy reading it. I don't care what great literature you use to relate to other people, I mind if your perception of me is different than mine of you and I do truly, truly hope that you weren't put off by my comment. I didn't intend to upset you, just to light a spark that would encourage you to write more, which I apparently did. Have a good weekend and I'll talk to you soon.
