OK, I thought I should share this with you, my friends, due to the inherent scariness of the concept. Granted, if you're in the US - you're likely waking up to this image, and if you snort your morning cup of coffee or orange juice through your nose - then I wouldn't exactly blame you. I know I coughed way too much to even try and make a start on my lunch when I saw this little gem.
If anyone should be blamed for inspiring me to share this picture with you - it's the fact that this round of
12days_of_clois is based on the topic of "Birthdays and Weddings." Specifically the Weddings bit. And Parties to do with Weddings. And cake.
Assuming you can get past the cheesecake nature of the comic, showing off Wonder Woman (apparently in JC Penny Hooker Work Wear) and Black Canary (aka. Dinah Lance, soon to be wife of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen), among others - as well as the bad composition… you might find something amiss in this cover image for the JLA wedding special (which you should click on to see a larger version of in a new tab or window).
Some points to consider when looking at the image:
What really makes me scared about this is that it's bloody SUPERMAN we're talking about! I really didn't need to know that Ace Reporter and Novelist Clark Joseph Kent also moonlit as the Chippendale of Steel. I realize this is a guy thing - leaving me in the greater minority when it comes to the people I "know" on my friends list, but the idea of Brandon Routh leaping out of a giant cake in full "Last Son of Krypton" uniform and then proceeding to strip is probably the single most terrifying concept I can come up with from this image. After all - no one in the image is paying Superman any attention, it's like they want to ignore he's there too.
Oh dear, I think I've really done it now. If anyone does use this as a story seed, I deny all culpability. Please do NOT send me links to resultant fan works if they include smut - I just couldn't take that.

- ex-Batgirl, Oracle appears awfully interested in Huntress'… *ahem*… "prow."
- That's either a very teeny-tiny thong (Princess) Diana Prince (of Themiscyra) is wearing, or that's one hell of a painful wedgie.
- One has to wonder how Starfire stays in her costume… For that matter, same goes for Vixen.
- Isn't Zatanna embarrassed to have worn the same outfit to a party as the guest of honour?
- Isn't Fire a little underdressed for the occasion? AFAIK the only thing hiding her modesty is her powers.
- What the Hell is Superman doing at a Hen Night? Oh, sorry: Batchelorette Party
- If he's there for why I think he's there… shouldn't Peej/Karen be a little skeeved to see Kal-El there? AU cousins are still cousins.
- Again, same as above… is this Big Barda's way of getting payback for what happened when John Byrne wrote her into a Superman Comic?
- I'm almost certain Kendra's far too young to be attending this event if the "Man of Tomorrow" is doing what I think he's doing.
- Clark, Clark, Clark - what would your wife say if she knew? Actually, knowing the tawdry nature of some of her headlines - I think she'd have something colourful to say.
