It's cold.
Blah, it's cold. But at least it is starting to be sunny again on a consistent basis. Jon and I went to get a sub last night and had to put on multiple layers. I actually had to put shoes on to take the trash out to the dumpster today (I mean real shoes, not flip flops). Thanks goodness we are (hopefully) going to Florida for Thanksgiving. Jon started his leave chit and since we're not taking any leave over Christmas (yay for being Jewish), hopefully they will give him Thanksgiving. I get Thurs and Friday off of work, so I am just taking the long weekend.
I'm sick of my job and I've started applying for real 'grown-up' jobs for after graduation. There is one that I really really want but I don't think I'll get it. I have to have 3 letters of reccomendation from professors, give them my transcripts, and take a drug test. It is for the Tidewater Group Homes Position working with at-risk teens in group homes as a counselor. It is basically an internship because I'll be supervised by another counselor... but it pays $21,000 a year with benifits!! And it is designed for those of us who have little to no experience in the field. I've gotten everything together except the reccomendations, but I have already found 2 professors to write letters. I just want to hurry up and do it before Thanksgiving so I can quit my other job right when I graduate on December 17th! Yep, I am officially almost to the month and a half mark. Then I will be a University of Florida graduate.
Anyways, I'm waiting for Jon to get home. I didn't have to work today, which was so nice. I stayed home and cleaned, did homework, and took care of sending Jeremy another package in Iraq. We need to go grocery shopping today, but we both don't get paid for another few days and all the bills are due on Halloween. So it looks like I'll be making rice and frozen veggies again for dinner tonight :) See why I need a better job???
