Dear Internet,

I have spent the last few days furiously working on these things to get them ready in time for Gallifrey One in two weeks; now I need your opinion.

AAH I LOVE THEM I adore five especially, though nine will always hold a special place in my heart. I would absolutely buy them, though I'm not sure on sticker prices. FYI, these would make really adorable badges too if you have access to a laminate machine. I've always done badges at cons for about $5. A price question would depend on your cost and what your input time is like, I would think. Without much other info, I'd probably say-- $7 each at that size? I pick that price based on estimating sticker sales at conventions to be at about $3-5 at that size range and magnet paper probably being more costly.

I've definitely considered the sticker route, too, and maybe in the future I'll branch out into stickers or laminates. Sadly I don't have access to a laminating machine, but I imagine printing stickers is similar to printing magnets--and yeah, probably cheaper per sheet than magnetic sheets.

I really appreciate your input, thank you!! And hopefully I'll have them available on Etsy as well, so even if you're not going to Gallifrey One you could pick up one. :D

For the record, the laminated badges are a profit monster. I bought my small laminate machine for $30. Pack of 100 business card sized sheets is about $15. I order stick-back clips for the badges because I can't for the LIFE of me find a hole punch that's sized like work badges are. Then it's just paper + printer ink. Total cost each, even factoring in the machine, is less than 50 cents a pop. Pricing at $5, and they are easily our best sellers. Stickers and buttons and magnets and little doohickies like that do so effing well.

I AM SO SAD I CANNOT GO TO GALLIFREY ONE YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Ugh. Next year when I'm living there, man. NEXT YEAR.

Wow, had no idea that laminating machines could be had so inexpensively these days! Thanks for that tip, very nice! Definitely sounds like a bigger profit than these, for sure. What do people do with the badges? I've never seen something like that for sale before. Just wear them around their necks?

YAY FOR GALLY NEXT YEAR!!!

Uhh, I feel bad about this, but I actually don't know who you are, ahaha. Are you a friend who changed their LJ name recently, or just someone I've forgotten? XD

Yep, or clip them to their lanyard. My Fanime booth had several last year and they did really, really well.

Nope, this is Natalie from Facebook. I never use my LJ anymore anyway. :V

Ohhhhhhhh!! HI NATALIE. This makes so much more sense now. Y U NO LJ???

And oh yes, I remember you selling things at Fanime now, and they were really cute and I almost bought some. Great idea. I was definitely thinking these would sell well in a Fanime art show type setting. Way more so than the weird Gallifrey One setting.

I do love that these can be expanded. CAN YOU IMAGINE AN ADORABLE FIREFLY SET? Jhahaeh.

Because LJ is a horrible evil monster-- that and I'm lazy and Facebook is faster. I totally used this LJ for like ten years though.

YOU KNOW I WOULD BUY ALL THE FIREFLY THINGS ALWAYS. Also as a sidenote: our Firefly things 100% completely sold out in all areas. I think we might have had like-- one Kaylee button left over.

Poor evil LJ monster. I know it's going down the crapper, but I can never leave. *clings to it* Ahahaha.

And yes, yes, I WANT ALL THE FIREFLY things. I at least want Wash and Zoe. And Mal. And Jayne. And Kaylee. >_> MUST MAKE ALL THE THINGS.

Do you sell your stuff via Etsy as well?

I just stopped getting prose-y, I guess. Most of my friends moved to Facebook. I got a full-time job with school afterwards. And at the end of the day it's less exhausting to post "Today sucked 8C" on Facebook than it is to type out the essay of my day on LJ. XD So I basically just use LJ and Plurk now.

Haha I framed that large poster you pointed out to me at Fanime. And the autographed Jo Chen print of Wash and Kaylee. :C ALL THE THINGSSSSSSS.

Nope, just conventions for now. Eventually we might? But we've only just started so we're starting small.

Hahaha, yeah. I don't use LJ nearly as much as I used to, but I do a lot of fannish things still and LJ is still the best place, IMO for fanfic or general fandom discussions and things. Plus I do have a permanent account so no sense in leaving. XD

I'm definitely interested in getting stuff on etsy. I've sold pretty successfully through there before, and I think these will do quite well there. And I love that shipping can literally be about $0.50. XD
