I was finally inspired to do a drawing for the season. Obviously too late to send out, plus I'm too broke, but I thought I'd share it. I usually wait until Christmas day to post, mostly so that people who got the card mailed have a good chance to get the card before seeing the picture. BTW how did you get the texture on Eric's hippy shirt? :-)

Mmm, a process of layers, basically. I colored his shirt on multipy, then put another layer below it, where I used a light grey to put in some dark wrinkles. Then I merged them and used the dodge tool set to about 4 or 6 or something really light to draw some highlights.

AHahaha, really? Definitely not. I'm far too lazy for that sort of thing! Though you certainly could stick a scanned piece of fabric beneath for a texture. I've done that before, but on a shirt it often looks uhhh. Flat, I guess? Unless you know how to warp the texture to look like it curves around the arm and torso, etc. Like, I got lazy with the pattern on his shirt. The lines are all straight but they should curve a bit. I was just lazy. Ahahaha, ah well. If it looks like real fabric I guess that's a win! XD THough probably means it stands out too much compared to the others.

Happy everything to you too! It's almost my bedtime now (at least , my scan starts at midnight and make my PC too slow to be usable, a good way of making me go to bed).

I'm for bed too. THe family is going to an amusement park early tomorrow. In fact, I think I should be getting up for it in about five hours, ahhahaha. Sob.
