Tribute to friendship
While at work, standing alone in my little prison...er, work space, I pondered a few things. Like the fact that I'm feeling the need to have a mini vacation. Basically, I just need time away from that hell hole. And it came to mind that it would be nice if I could get together with my bestest friend in the whole world...Katy! ^_^ (a.k.a. Dev) Which caused the domino effect with my thoughts. I began thinking of times where I really had fun. Times that other people may not quite grasp the reason why I found it to be so much fun, but they were just really enjoyable times for me. And let me tell you...most of the things that came to mind were times spent with Dev. So I decided to make a list of sorts, of things Dev and I have done throughout our long friendship...and they're in no particular order. Just as they came to mind.
1) Sitting on a wall downtown Ann Arbor with Dev asking people as they walked by, if they knew the 7 deadly sins. Those people thought we were nuts. Most wouldn't even aknowledge us.
2) Going to The Broken Egg the morning after St Patricks Day (meaning extremely hungover) and asking the waitress for another glass of water every 5 minutes, until I finally just asked for a whole pitcher of water because I was so dehydrated. I think I was really annoying the waitress, till I told her I was hungover...then she related and had sympathy. hehe
3) Cruising U of M frat houses on various occassions.
4) Driving around in heavy rain and Dev unknowingly sending a tidal wave onto a guy walking down the sidewalk. The poor guy tried turning and throwing his arms up to protect himself, but this thing was about 6 ft high. He had no chance.
5) When getting ready to move, going to downtown Ann Arbor to look at places for me to live. Checking out a hideously scarey house, then going to Wizzy Wigs then sitting in the little park before heading to the next place.
6) Sitting out on the balcony during thunderstorms and watching Dev flinch and sometimes scream when it thundered. ^^
7) Watching endless hours of anime.
8) Dev and I being on phones in different rooms, talking to Matt. Ok that one's kinda bitter sweet. =(
9) Ok, 2 words. Stalking Rich!
10) Wearing the fake glasses with the nose, mustache and eyebrows while stalking Rich. XD
11) Driving around on muddy dirt roads in Lapeer, with the car windows open, on March 1st of...hmm...96 or 97 I'll guess.
12) Getting our first tattoos.
13) Talking on the phone, literally all night.
14) Getting drunk and rolling down the hill.
15) Making up the story about Andygoat.
16) Acting like dorks in drivers training.
17) Throwing flowers at cars on Mother's Day
18) Going to Brian's restaurant and always causing a scene by laughing so loud.
19) Going garage/yard sale hunting.
20) Taking our roadtrip to Tennessee.
I've stopped at 20, but that by no means, is all there is. I could go on forever, but I think I've made my point. Even though we still talk online often, even though we still talk on the phone on occassion, and even though I just saw you last month for a day (though it was under unusual circumstances)...it's just not the same. I miss spending time with the person, who, while she may not know what the hell I'm thinking at times, still knows me better than just about anyone.
