"They said you'd be here."
Liz jerked, blinking at the blond in the doorway. She couldn't believe she let herself get distracted enough to not catch the scent of someone entering the office, let alone one she knew well, hadn't caught in a long time. "Rae..." She'd called at one point, saying she'd like to get together, to talk, but suddenly all words were missing from her head. "Who?"
"Nathaniel and Jason, I believe they said. They're eating downstairs," Rae answered and moved a little further into the office. There was a slight hesitation in her movements, unsure exactly if it was alright for her to have just shown up here or not.
Liz took a slow breath, catching the nerves, uncertainty, and Rae's distinct scent. But no fear. A restaurant full of shifters downstairs, more so than a usual night because Richard was holding a meeting in the back in a few minutes, and there was no trace of fear in Rae's scent. It surprised Liz, but in a very good way. One that brought a soft smile to her face. And not one to turn tail and run, Liz stood and moved around her desk to Rae.
When Liz was close enough, Rae took the remaining steps and wrapped her arms around her sister, almost clinging, "I've missed you."
Liz relaxed into the hug, her arms hugging her sister back tightly. Her nose buried into the blond hair, the scent so familiar and so like what home had once smelled like. "I've missed you too."
It was a long while before either sister let go of each other. And only enough so they could move over to the couch that rested along one wall of the office. The talk was a little hesitant, but eventually settled into the very fast paced chatter that sisters tended to be known for. Sharing, getting to know each other again.
