Seriously? Another house problem?
So my super awesome handy guy had replaced all the plumbing in my house, this is important.
I'd been getting really high water bills, higher than if a family of 4 was living in the house. The last one was $2000, no way was I going to pay that so the water people were called & sent down a guy to check the meter.
While checking the meter he decided to replace it with a newer, easier to read one.
+ Hooray for new meters.
- Boourns for guy breaking the pipe BEFORE the meter so water pours into the basement
-- Boourns for finding out that the pipe from the street bringing water TO the house is lead and up to *me* to replace.
So the water is shut off, has been since friday. Super awesome handy guy is going to fix the broken bit tomorrow but the lead pipe will have to stay until I have money to replace it. Until then I'll have to get my tap water tested, they do it for free, and drink from the large bottle dealy I have.
The horrible green hallway has been entirely covered now, second coats are needed because in some places it was so potent than it shines through the new paint but otherwise it looks good. I did take pictures, but they suck so I'll have to take more. The carpet will be installed on thursday, hope it looks nice!
In other news Paws In Motion went well today, Penny was naughty but not as bad as she could've been.
