Hey guys, this is really short but I kinda wanted to wrap this up! Thank you so much for reading this story and for all of your comments. This is the first chapter fic I have ever actually stuck with and finished! Hope you guys enjoy the ending!

Taekwoon slowly opened his eyes, the sound of monotonous beeping  from his alarm clock and his room was growing much too bright  from the sun reaching through his white shutters. He sat up slowly, running his hand over his alarm clock to shut it of.  He stood up from his bed, looking over at his white shutters that created little beams of light onto his carpet but instead of opening it to welcome the view of the garden he turned away from it to walk into his bathroom, shutting the door quietly. He heard the door open, probably one of the maids to come and wake him up, but he ignored it and started the water, stepping into the shower to quickly wash himself. He didn’t bother to look out the frosted window so he didn’t see the sailboats lining up across the street to enjoy the great weather. Taekwoon left the shower and dressed himself just as silently before walking out of of his room, quietly shutting his door and taking a deep breath before slowly moving towards the stairs. He sighed heavily and ran his hand along the smooth dark wood before gripping the railing and descending the stairs. He could only get a few steps down however before he heard his dad yelling, which was something quite peculiar, he never rose his voice about anything. Taekwoon sat down on the steps, peeking out between the wood railings to see his father walking down the hallway in a fit of rage, their head maid running past him towards the very stairs Taekwoon sat on.

“I can’t believe you! In my home...I can’t...I can’t even speak to you right now!”

Taekwoon’s mother ran up, tears smudging her makeup down her face and she tried to grab her husband’s hand, “Wait, please listen to me!”

He yanked his hand away from her, clenching his fists and trying not to hit her, “Get out!” He paused, shaking his head, “No I will leave. I will not raise my son in such a poisonous society. “

She reached for his hand once again but he turned away from her to the maid, “Go get Taekwoon ready now. I’m going to get him fired!”

“Wait, why won’t you just listen?!”

“I don’t want to hear any of your bulshit.”

“It isn’t his fault! Don’t do anything to him please I beg you!”

Taekwoon looked at the maid who ran up the stairs when she realized Taekwoon was watching his parents fighting and she grabbed his arm to lead him back to his room. Taekwoon silently sat on his bed, his father’s loud voice and his mother’s shrill screams ringing in his ears. He watched the maid move around his room quickly to pack up a few clothes and things that his father couldn’t just replace in a few days. He felt like he wasn’t actually there, it was almost as if he was experiencing an out of body experience or this was a dream. Taekwoon stood up, walking out of the door quietly while the maid was too busy in his closet, and suddenly the house was silent. Taekwoon furrowed his brows and had to peek back into his room to make sure that he hadn’t made all this up but sure enough he could hear hangers hitting the floor and drawers slamming shut. He walked farther from his room and walked down the stairs but no one was to be seen, not one maid, his mother and father were gone somewhere, Taekwoon let out a little breath and went out into the back yard.

“Alright Taekwoon, let’s go meet-” The maid stopped mid sentence, frowning because the said boy was no longer in his room.

She quickly left the room and ran around the house, calling out for Taekwoon until she passed by a window and saw him standing out in the morning sun. She smiled and ran out into the back garden, continuing to smile from seeing Taekwoon standing in front of the pretty pink magnolia tree.

“Hey,” She crouched down and ran her hands along Taekwoon’s arm, looking up at the pretty pinkish white flowers stretching up to the warm sun, “I’m sure your father would have no problem bringing this tree with us.”

Taekwoon didn’t look away from the soft grassy spot beneath the tree, “Burn it for all I care. I never want to see a magnolia again.”

Jaehwan ran a hand through his hair, “Slow...Mrs. Jung! Slow down what happened?....They left?....How did he find out?....Wait….wait...what?....He took Taekwoon?!” Jaehwan suck slowly down into his chair, “Mrs. Jung… I… I can’t risk my job, we have to stop. Go try and reason with him, fix your marriage….I know, I’m sorry but goodbye.”

Jaehwan let out a slow breath, dropping his phone into his lap before standing up and knocking all his papers and binders from his desk in rage, slamming his fist down on the table. He didn’t move for a few moments, too angry to do so until he was able to finally pull himself away to go stand by the large window in his office, a small bluish grey pot sat in the windowsill. Jaehwan ran his hand over the small green leaves of the new plant and with a pain in his chest he leaned down to gently kiss the small leaf.

Magnolias would always be his favorite, no matter how many trees there would be in his life.
