Jewelry commissions

Sep 12, 2013 19:56

So, money has been ridiculously tight lately, what with having to spend about $100 a week just to go out to my dying grandmother's (which is over two and a half hours away). We've already had to give up our cell phones, and to help my brother get down to his place in NYC in June, we had to divert funds that normally went to bills for that, and we just haven't recovered from it. We can't wait every two weeks for a chance that we'll have a bit extra for groceries.

For now, my solution is to offer jewelry commissions and sell the stock I already have.

I have a Google Document here where you can copy/paste it, fill it out, and send it back to me in an email (vampwrite@gmail.com).

I'm also starting up a project where I make origami cranes (two sets of which I have for sale right now) in honor of my grandmother. My goal is to eventually make a thousand little cranes and donate part of the proceeds at the end to leukemia research (since she's dying from a type of acute leukemia.)

The stock I have for sale (all should be nickel-free)

Red swarvoski crystal, red glass disc beads, silver czech glass beads, and silver curled tubes.

And a close-up.

And the matching earrings to go with the necklace.

For the set: $45 + $5 shipping

----------------

Gray and pink necklace: Different shades of gray swarovski glass pearls, pink czech glass beads, silver metal beads, and gray stone centerpiece.

Close-up shot.

Matching earrings.

For the set: $50 + $5 shipping

----------------

Shades of orange! It's a mix of glass beads, czech glass beads, gold metal beads, and seed beads.

And a close-up!

And the matching earrings.

For the set: $50 + $5 shipping

----------------

Purple cranes! They're actually no more than a centimeter tall, coated with a gloss finish to help preserve them and keep their shape, and come with silver beads and swarovski crystal beads to accent the crane. If you want the earrings to dangle more, I can add a small length of chain for a small added fee.

Those are my fingers in the top left corner so you can get some sense of scale, and how they will actually sit.

Here are all the available origami paper colors I have available to me.

A pair of crane earrings: $30 ($32 with chain) + $5 shipping

I do have a paypal, but I do not have it attached to a bank account right now, so for the time being, I do prefer check or cash upfront before I send the jewelry. I completely understand if you don't feel comfortable sending check/cash in the mail. There is always the option to send gift cards (like through American Express or Visa) with the amount on it, or order a gift card online like from Discover, etc. If you really must do paypal, let me know and we'll work something out!

Have any questions? Don't be afraid to comment here or email me! I really do appreciate the help and if I can make pretty things for friends and other people to wear, then all the better.

EDIT: Added another payment option!
