All right, that's enough angst/negativity for one night. (Kitty snugglings have definitely helped.)

So have a fun link and a meme! (And someone kick me to finish those other ones. Really, I will.)

The link: How to Save on Christmas Decorations

And the book meme that's been going around:

☇ Take four books off your bookshelf.
☇ Write the first sentence
☇ Write the last sentence on page fifty
☇ Write the second sentence on page one hundred
☇ Write the next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
☇ Write the final sentence of the book
☇ Let your friends guess what book it is.

Obvious names have been left out, and I did twice the amount for shits and giggles (aka, I couldn't decide which four >.>;):

(And if I could find my copy of that book from the cut text, it so would be on this list ;_;)

ALSO! Highlight to see the answers~ (Just to be fair and all, especially if people still want to guess)

Book One (guessed by kunenk): Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett
☇It was a nice day.
☇He had had all manner of interesting jobs in lots of interesting places.
☇He was particularly proud of his books of prophecy.
☇The Hollow Earth Theory was not going over well in the quarry.
☇...forever.

Book Two (guessed by kmegumi2: Charmed Life by Diana Wynne Jones
☇**** admired his elder sister ****.
☇"I wasn't doing anything wrong," **** said, as if butter--not to speak of marmalade--would not have melted in her mouth.
☇One by one, all the windows came to life.
☇They was all night in the stuffed rabbit shouting out 'I belong to ****,' and this morning I has to wrap them in a blanket before I dares take them to a man I know.
☇And ****, though he was still a little lonely and tearful, managed to laugh too.

Book Three (guessed by caidentity): Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code by Eoin Colfer
☇For the past two years my business enterprises have thrived without parental interference.
☇Would sir care for tea, coffee, or perhaps something stronger?
☇The men looked up just in time to get a faceful of sopping camel-hair.
☇Each carried an oval, hide-covered shield, a thin spear, and a cell phone.
☇The world will remember the name of ****.

Book Four (guessed by caidentity): The Bartimaeus Trilogy: The Amulet of Samarkand by Jonathan Stroud
☇The temperature of the room dropped fast.
☇It was a vast featureless space; office workers passed quietly back and forth between wooden doors on either side, their shoes making respectful pattering noises on the floor.
☇The thought of meeting other magicians made him feel quite queasy.
☇Affecting not to notice the frankly shocking curses that sounded up from below, I considered the envelopes.
☇Just something to remember me by.

Book Five (guessed by kunenk): Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
☇In the land of ****, where such things as seven-league boots and cloaks of invisibility really exist, it is quite a misfortune to be born the eldest of three.
☇In some ways it was a bathroom you might normally find only in a palace, full of luxuries such as an indoor toilet, a shower stall, an immense bath with clawed feet, and mirrors on every wall.
☇She shook all over and her knees trembled,
☇**** waved the shiny gray paper and explained in an unhappy rush how impossible the spell seemed to do.
☇Besides, it's raining out there in ****.

Book Six (guessed by taelow): Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson
☇Ba-room, ba-room, ba-room, baripity, baripity, baripity, baripity--Good.
☇But as a regular thing, as a permanent place, this was where he would choose to be--here where the dogwood and redbud played hide and seek between the oaks and evergreens, and the sun flung itself in golden streams through the trees to splash warmly at their feet.
☇And then there was the rain.
☇Early wildflowers were dotting the deep green of the fields, and the sky was clean and blue.
☇There's a rumor going around that the beautiful girl arriving today might be the queen they've been waiting for.

Book Seven
☇Moon.
☇And does not actually play with me but must have somebody else.
☇He had taken the time, he had done it right, in spite of what must have seemed like a very close call on the causeway only minutes before.
☇Below me I could see the guard's golf cart parked, pointing in the direction of Old Cutler--meaning, I hoped, that he had come from the other direction and had not seen my car.
☇The wonderful, fat, musical red moon.

Book Eight (guessed by kunenk): Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
☇The night before he went to London, **** was not enjoying himself.
☇He waved at it and yelled.
☇He began to ask them, as he went, "Excuse me? I'm looking for a man named **** and a girl named ****. Do you know where I'd find them?"
☇The marquis walked to the edge of the roof, dropped the eight feet to the next building.
☇And they walked away together through the hole in the wall, back into the darkness, leaving nothing behind them; not even the doorway.

meme, amusing things
