(no subject)
Okay, the Death Note movie made me remember what I really liked about the early part of the series. Things were a little different and made me go "eh?" at one part in particular, but on a whole, it was very good. It wasn't subtitled--at ALL, which made reading the causes of death and names and you know, the huge amount of newspaper headlines they kept showing really fucking hard to read--but the dubbing was actually really damn good. And GOD, they got the best guy for Ryuk. It kinda sounded like Johnny Yong Bosch for Light, but I'm not too sure. We had to leave to get my father from work before the special behind the scenes stuff aired. Boo on that.
But man, I have to say that all the uber-fans at the movie needed to shut the hell up. They fucking CHEERED for minutes when L came on the screen. Now, I love L and he's probably one of my favorites from the series, but come on! Asking L to marry you? Squealing at every fucking thing he does? (Even though it was funny he was stirring his tea with a lollipop...) Just a might bit ridiculous. And people wonder why anime fans get a bad rep--because of nutbars like them. I bet the movie staff thought they were insane. -.-;;
(Oh yeah, there's a Bleach movie on the 11th and 12th of June, I think the title was Memories of Nobody? Something like that. And that's playing at Carousel. I'm not interested in it, but thought I'd say it for anyone who was.)
On a whole though, I'm really glad I went. Indiana Jones will have to wait until this weekend. That way, you and I can go, Therissa! ^.^ Boo on them for calling you into work. Incidentally, I wasn't needed at work yesterday >.> But at least I got all my bank stuff done, opened a checking account and got my paperwork for direct deposit to my boss, so yeah! Yeah for a productive day. ^.^
But now I've got to go. Gotta finish up work, and can I say I kick ass? Counted every single fucking lense we got and marked down what ones we have. And we've got a lot >.> And my coworker thought that'd keep me busy for a long time... Nope, about two and half hours, with interruptions.
