Today was quite, uh, interesting so far. FINALLY got to drive my car! ^.^ *dances* It's neat feeling the differences between all the cars I've driven. I kinda like the feel of the Taurus the best, but that little Tempo has a nice bit of kick to it. When I get the money, I'd like to realign the tires, splurge on giving the interior a nice washing (hell, I might be able to during the next couple of days for reasons I'll get to in a second), and well, have the money to get the car inspected come September. I drove Mom around doing some errands, then we headed out to Pop's work to drop off his karate uniforms he'd forgotten, then out to Barnes and Noble after visiting a bead store in Liverpool that was closed. >.<

I'm wishing now that we hadn't gone out to the bead store. It was a wasted trip.

BUT! I got the ninth Dresden Files book~ *squees*

And then, we got in the car to leave for home and--the car wouldn't start. It just clicked when I turned the key. We're like, "Oh fuck." I'm almost betting that if we hadn't gone to the bead store, the car might've been fine to drive home because when we got back in the car after that failed trip, it was kinda finicky and didn't want to start, but we got it going. Bah. So, called up Pop to let him know something was up, and I called Linds. In the end, we had to call AAA and they towed us home. The guy looked at the car and said it looked like some oil had gotten onto the wires and messed them up a bit. So it wasn't the starter! But...related to the starter in some fashion! *groans*

It was cool riding in the tow truck though. The guy was real nice to.

Anyway, Mom's gonna talk to a couple car people she knows to get some help and advice about it and find out the easiest way to cleaning it and preventing that happening again. I sure as shit don't want to be stranded like that on my own. *adds cell phone and AAA card to list of needed things in the near future*

Oh, and Linds, I uploaded some pictures of the engine here.

On a different note, I also uploaded pictures of the gardening work Mom's done around the house. Here, there, here too, and right there. Of course, they're much prettier in person, and Mom's not exactly done yet. In one of the pictures, I believe the last one, you can get a glimpse of the river!
