11th Designers Against Breast Cancer (DABC)
Designers Against Breast Cancer is looking for volunteers to serve on its planning committee for the 11th DABC event, scheduled for Saturday, September 30th. A kick-off meeting is tentatively being scheduled for Thursday, February 16 at 6:30pm at the Ashley Furniture Community Room (Drake Avenue & Memorial Parkway). Call 256.858.2397 for more information.
Each year, DABC brings together local fashion designers and select retail clothing stores, breast cancer survivors, make-up artists, jewelry designers, hair stylists, local runway models and numerous other volunteers for an evening event filled with beauty and inspiration. To date, the grass roots organization has contributed approximately $11,000 to the Huntsville-Madison County American Cancer Society.
