[Giuliana] Respect (11/11/2008)
Giuliana looks across the desk at her liege lord, a small smile twisting her pretty lips, "I've had a request from a new member of the Order, to be my student. Apparently, at least in his eyes, I am "undoubtedly, his superior by far"... his words, not mine."
Victor McKay chuckles, leaning back in his chair, "Of course you are, love.... you're my vassal after all. Regardless of ranks, that is going to carry a bit of weight within the Order. Whether it's actually true or not isn't relevent, though there is at least a bit of evidence to it being true. Use that.... teach him.... use him if needed."
Giuliana nods, thoughtful, and Victor leans forward, steepling his fingers in front of him on the desk, "Send him after the Devil at the Crossroads... let him be the one to track down what we need to know of Red Jack. Don't do it yourself. Hell, he can ask the Order for aid if he wants... but I want him to lead that effort... and I want you to convince him that he should. Can you do that?"
Never one to make empty promises, she shrugs, "I shall present it to him. I know not his character as of yet, so we shall see."
"Keep me informed," he smiles.
"Will do."
Victor looks up at her, "We still have a date next month, yes?"
"Of course."
"Good... I'm looking forward to that. It seems as if that night may well turn rather auspicious."
"Oh?" Giuliana raises a sculpted eyebrow, sitting forward with interest as Victor explains.
