i truly understand what you are going through. im still a shy person and i never spoke up for myself. its hard to do that when you growing up...and i learned the hard way. ive been down this road. now that i am in college and i look back at how sad, shy and depressed i was, all because of my lack of self esteem, i deeply regret it because i missed out on alot of things. i was always worried that when i went out in public, ppl would stare and say mean things. but that was all in my head. i learn to speak up for myself...and slowly but surely it will happen for you.
it may take awhile and it may seem hard right now, but you'll be fine trust me. you're a strong person. want to know how i know? because u've come so far! look! you're graduating from high school. you have no burdens to bear (remember that line from the story:life is too short to waste it on things that you know you have nearly or no control over...the best thing you can do is to not make the same mistakes....learn from them..and live your life...) so, live your life!! dont miss out on anything!! have fun and enjoy being yourself!! when you start to realize the beauty of it, you'll bloom like a cherry blossom.
as for the jrock thing, LISTEN TO IT!!! dont worry about what other people say. be you and ENJOY. love what you love. do not let anyone take that away from you, you are unique and beautiful sis!! i listen to my jrock and crazy music all the time!! ^_^ heck, i just may put up some matsuken and L Lawliet pics on my wall!! who cares if my dormmates stare!
im glad you met new friends. its good to meet new people every once in awhile and its good to have those true friends around!!
always know that im here for you sis, whenever you need someone to talk to or need a shoulder to cry on. im here. i may be a state away, but that does not mean you cant pick up that phone and call me. no matter how busy i may be.
