To give you the more clearer view, I just want to make Yamada seems to think that they're quiet different.
The Gokusen Takaki who is always risky and love Yamada deeply but he always do things without concern about it more deeply.
The chubby Takaki, the one who seems to be elder and understand whatever Yamada will be but one point is that he thinks he's a bit fat comparing with the Gokusen one ne.
So both of them a bit feel a bit challenging because one is slimmer but one know Yamada better.
But for Yamada jealosy I think he's just upset and just recover ne X'D
