Oh, I got a haircut thursday. My hairdresser, a young blonde woman with peircings, did a wonderful job on my hair, esp. since  the clippers stopped working, and resorted to scissors. She was smart, artistic, and in K's words "cute". I reccommended Salt, A World History, and she recommended Brothers Karamazov. I also mentioned several webcomics to her, and suggested she have a go, or even try and go local, like to 803 Comics.

A gentleman, ("Harry") from Belfast, came in to rent a car, but his license had expired a year ago, and I was unable to rent to him. I helped him arrange a bus ride (vie Greyhound, because Amtrack had nothing online), and offered him some maps her and for the state, and a AAA travel guide we'd had for a while from in a car. We spoke a little of Charleston, his destination, and then of French Huguenot place- and road-names, and legal influences (state's written legal code influenced by Napoleon's Legal Code), and he mentione (b/c he had a passing interest in 18th century furniture) that they'd influence craftsmanship towards a Golden Age, and that inclusion of them in one's heritage is a proud thing. Gonna read up on that, too.

Oh, BTW,
kittikattie, I'm 2/3 done with Gods and Myths of Northern Europe, a little written in. Interested?

Saw Bud, at Avis, this morning. Been a long time.

Forgot to call last nite to get a key or other entryway into office. Had to get maint/ops to let me in.

A girl in National's SO was killed in OB, this week, thursday, I think. Stabbed in the back, if I recall (Joanna?)

A customer asked if I was a USC fan. He's from WV. (P.M.B.) I said I go Ref, but my family's very USC-oriented. He mentioned he's going to Aiken. I said they have beautiful houses, and he said he knows, b/c he goes to visit a friend, who coaches at USC. I notice a FLorida college ring, and induce my next question. "Is that Mr. Spurrier?" "Yes." "Neat. I'm glad he's here, and everyone seems happy to have him. Me, I am, for different reasons. I'm more concerned that he has held players accountable, than over any losses or winning streaks." I hope (P.M.B) shares that with (S.O.S.). I hated when athletes and whatnot were given so much, and then they be allowed to torment others, and harrass me. (Heh, umm I forgot to hand him his key, so he had to come back for it.)

Learned that CSRA doesn't  mean Confederate States of Reunited America, as I always figured, having lived in rednexville for so long, and assumed that [><]-flag wavers thought that way (Central Savannah River Area). Yay, learning!!!

Nazi's were protested at the statehouse today. Hopefully the asshats will be gone by the day. good for SOCV for taking pix, trying to find and purge Nazi's from their ranks. It's called the blind dumping the blunt. Their SC spokeguy was on Air America friday, taling about history and Nazi corruption of their ranks, and I realize, I don't really care.
