Well, I'm seeing more snow than Michigan, and I'm in MISSOURI!!!!!!!
yes....I'm in the south/midwest, or whatever.... I'm staying with my sister, Christy and will be gone 10 days. And then I will take the bus home...yes...all by myself...and I have really weird bus "layovers". Like from 11:30pm to 1:30am in Chicago!!!! Oh well...I guess it will enhance my traveling experiences...heh...yeah right :)
So, yeah....Christmas (family) sucked this last year...my mom was a TOTAL drag...but that's her.
I'm having a GREAT NEW year so far though. I'm going to work with my sister. She works in an after school program for kids that have problems with Math & Reading....K-5th grade....It's called "CLICK" (Children Learning In Centers for Kids). It's a really cool program, and I walked in with Christy, and these kids just crawled all over me...wanting me to hug them, sit next to them, and just pay any attention to them that I could spew out. It was intimidating at first, but it got better, and it was awesome. Christy is in charge of craft time, and my favorite group was a tie between the Kinders and the 1st graders. We had them made bird feeders...taking a piece of bread, rolling into a ball, spreading it with peanut butter, and then bird seed.... they loved it, and loved eating the bird seed & peanut butter. It was funny. I know now how my sister has lost the 30 pounds that she has lost...but playing duck duck goos, and being the "goose" and running away or from the kids. For the most part, they were pretty good, and VERY funny!
So...I will try to update this extremely regularly while I'm down here, but I can't promise anything :)
I think Jeremy would have a lot of fun here...it's a cool place...this Springfield, Missouri....
