The tides are turning...it'll be interesting to see how the Senior Partners take this. On the one hand, they don't want anybody on this throne, becoming a potential power threat. On the other hand, it's never a particularly good idea to let the champions of goodness and light get too powerful...except when it makes them cocky and they screw up.
Connor's not going to be the one going into the tunnel - it's his surrogate instead. Which, damn, I have to admit makes me a little disgruntled - it would have cleared out a nice obstacle had he gone. Still, the game isn't over yet - and I've never lost.
Angel, of all people, contacted me to let me know. The very sound of his voice grates on my nerves, but I took it long enough to find out the information. And of course he leaves me to give the news to Darla. He always was a coward. I think Darla shall take it in good heart - they are both her son, but she has never known Stephen, really. The best thing about this new plan is it also gets rid of that bitch, Emily Anne. Who has indeed been cursed with a soul - it's like they grow on trees now. How boring and predictable of her to have turned to good. Some vampires lack a sense of self-worth.
Of course, what Angel and company doesn't know is that Wolfram & Hart isn't through with their own goals, yet. The Senior Partners have a plan and while I'm not privy to all the details? It's going to be something big enough that they've sent out a memo telling us to take all precautions and begin working on client intervention ASAP.
This should be very, very fun.
