(no subject)
im holding my babe in my arms while i type about him. ive learned to do many things with one hand. he sleeps a lot, tho lastnight it took awhile to get him to sleep. i was already in bed, and he either needed to be changed or was fussy so john took him so i didnt have to get up. but an hr later or so i woke up to hear xander crying. i got up and found john in the babys room with xander crying his little head up. i asked what was wrong, and john said nothing, absoulutly nothing (with a fustrated tone in his voice, perhaps helpless as well as he could not seem to sooth him) after changing and trying to feed him many times. as im sure he rocked him in the rocking chair. but i could tell he was tired and didnt know what to do but sit there and watch him cry. so i told him he could goto bed and thanked him for trying (he still gave me an hr sleep by taking him) so i gave xan man the boob and he quickly settled down. i rocked him and then put him down in his bassinet and went to bed. by this time it was 3am but he slept the rest of the night. i woke up at 8:30am but he has yet to really wake up, and its not 10am. but i didnt kinda wake him up at 9 to fed him. hes resting again.
so minus the time lastnight that i was awake, i still got a total of like 8 hrs sleep. since i went to bed at 10:30-11ish. and something like 5 hrs uninturuppted sleep. which is enough to give me anough energy for the day. we have dr appt for him today. im hoping john gets up soon so i can shower and clean a bit. but i feel bad and want to let him sleep. he after all is the one who has to goto work.
besides trying to continue to clean the bedroom today i think ill make some banana bread too. i was gonna say i have derby practice but johns on afternoons so i wont be going tonight.
babies are so small and cute. i can see why ppl have more than one. i need to take some nice pics of him before he gets too big. wonder how much he weighs now? guess ill find out today at the dr's!
