Sungmin always had gone a bit over the top when it came to Christmas. So much so, that his name could be used as a synonym for Christmasy. He loved everything about it, but especially the decorations. He could spend hours decorating his side of his dorm room with tinsel and lights.
Henry had missed Christmas when he came to Korea. There were people that celebrated it here, and in some parts, it was very festive, but nothing compared to what it was like in Canada. So he was thrilled when he had met Sungmin, and learned that he really got into the Christmas spirit.
It was that fact, that Henry missed Christmas and Sungmin loved it, which made them spend Christmas Eve together. They were sitting in Henry’s room, which Sungmin had happily decorated, and Henry was flipping through shows on TV. He finally settled on a Korean dub of the Christmas show he had loved when he was a kid, How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Sungmin snuggled up to Henry, and Henry lay his head on top of Sungmin’s messy mop of hair.
Henry wrapped his arms around Sungmin, taking in his quiet, even breathing and his warm, welcoming scent. He smiled. He didn’t really think he could be happier. Cartoons and the person he loved more than anything, the recipe for happiness.
