Blaine yawned as he heard another thump against his window. He stood up, and stumbled over to the window. He flinched as another snowball hit the window. He opened it, and looked outside.
“HEY BLAINE! GET OUT HERE!” Wes yelled.
“Why? What’s going on?” Blaine muttered, looking down at him.
“Just get out here!”
Blaine sighed, and closed his window. He quickly pulled on some clothes and a jacket, and walked downstairs, still groggy. He opened the door and gasped as the cold air hit his face, quickly waking him up. Wes was standing outside the door, waiting for him.
“Ok, I’m here, now why did you wake me up so early?” Blaine asked, rubbing his eyes.
“Snowball fight. In the Second Yard, right now,” Wes said. Blaine smiled. He always loved a good snowball fight.
“Can we get Kurt, first?” Blaine asked, as they started walking. Wes smiled.
“I knew you’d say that. It’s already taken care of. David’s getting him, we’ll meet there,” Wes said. Blaine blushed, not knowing it was so obvious that he would want Kurt to be there.
They walked quickly to the courtyard, where the snowball fight was already in full swing. There were forts, and Blaine laughed as he spotted Kurt and David huddling behind a large wall of snow. Blaine and Wes dove behind the wall as several snowballs came whizzing towards them.
“Why is there snowy warfare going on out here and why did David drag me with him?” Kurt asked Blaine.
Blaine laughed. “It’s a snowball fight, Kurt.”
“I realize that. But why am I here? I would much rather be inside, not getting bombarded with snow.”
“Come on Kurt, loosen up.” Wes said, as he jumped out from behind the wall, let a few snowballs loose, and then ran back.
Blaine packed a snowball in his hands, and quickly leaned around the wall, throwing it at David, who was running across the middle of the yard, in the middle of the battle. He started packing another snowball, and then gasped as he felt cold snow hit his face. He looked at Wes, who shook his head. Kurt started to laugh, and Blaine rolled his eyes.
“You could hit someone other than me, you do realize.” Blaine said as he blinked the snow out of his eyes.
“Keep hitting him, Kurt. You know you want to.” Wes said as he let off another round of snowballs.
“Well, as long as you’re having fun…” Blaine said under his breath, watching Kurt as he tentatively threw a snowball out from behind the wall.
Maybe snowball fights just weren’t Kurt’s kind of thing.
