I went in for an induction on 3/6 (my birthday) at 6:30.
They broke my water at 8, and I managed to progress a little (to 4/5 cm) but not enough for my OB so he started a really low level of pitocin at noon or so. I labored pretty hard until about 2:30 when I was checked and about 7 cm. So I decided to use Stadol because I was completely exhasted. I still felt the contractions, but it helped me relax. At 4:00-4:15 I started to sit up more and kinda squatted. And at 4:30 I started to push, and the doctor nearly missed it! Jack was born at 4:44! Holy shit it hurt! But I didn't have to have an episiotomy, and had one small tear.
And he is HUGE! 9 lbs 9 oz 21 1/2 inches long and 14 1/2 inches head circumference. He has a full head of nearly black hair and dark eyes. He had some issues with low blood sugar so we had to give him a tiny bit of formula from a cup. He is
nursing great though!
