(no subject)
So I never got my Canada tax return. I had called a while back, and was told that it got sent to my old address, and that either a new cheque would be sent, or the contestation forms, to this address. I finally called back today after not receiving anything. There was no address change in my file, and not even so much as a note saying I'd called. So that means the first time I called, the person didn't do shit.
So the lady I spoke to today was very nice, and she changed my address, hopefully for real this time, and confirmed that the bitch living in my old apartment indeed cashed my cheque. How it's so easy to cash someone else's government cheque is beyond me... Anyways, she assures me that the contestation forms are going to be sent out in today's mail.
I asked Francois to go see her, it was from the apartment that's right next to his work, and tell her she's been caught, and I'm going to press charges if I can. But Francois said that he'd rather not, since she could turn around after and say we were "threatening" her. I suppose he's right. I guess it's a good thing I'm not in the area. I'm so mad right now, she'd have a reason to press charges against me.
I'm just floored by the whole thing, really. Not just the bitch who stole my money, but the government worker who did sweet fuck all the first time I called. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I'd expect people to do actually DO THEIR FUCKING JOB! Maybe I'm asking too much?

Now I'm on hold with the Financial Aid office, with who I've been fighting with for the past hour that I never got the loan sent to me on August 6 because my bank account is CLOSED. They insist it's open. So i called the bank, and they confirmed that the money was sent back because the account was indeed closed. Financial Aid doesn't seem to believe me. I'm probably going to have to go to the bank to get some proof and send it to them. I've been having rotten luck with the government lately, it would seem >.
